Bob Emerson

Freestyle Coach
Director, Richmond Training Centre

Bob is a former Canadian Junior Men's Champion. As the Director of the Richmond Training Centre, Bob brings 41 years of experience as a Level 4 Certified Coach, and is a National, International and World Coach. In addition, Bob has operated skating schools for 31 years, with his students ranging in level from beginner to competitive. 


With regards to Skating Tests, Bob has passed the Gold Medal Tests in both Freestyle and Figures. He also completed all four levels of singles tests for the International Skating Union. Bob was a member of several Skating Committees: CFSA-CCC (2 years) Skate Canada, COS-CC (2years) COS, Skate Canada and COS-Advisory Committee.


Bob is currently coaching International Czech National Champion, Tomas Verner, Gabriella DeBono & Chris Sisca, Jananiy Ponrajah and many more. Bob has also coached skaters on the National Team; with medallists in Junior and Senior Levels. Past students include Tara Ferguson, Paolo Vaccari and 1995 Canadian Ladies' Champion, Netty Kim.
